PUBLIC NOTICE: ROAD CLOSURE ON NC 226 N
The NC Highway Patrol has closed NC 226 N at Mace's Mobile Home Park due to safety concerns while road repairs are underway. No traffic will be allowed beyond this point until further notice.
Local traffic will still be able to access their residences. NC 226 N is also closed at the Mitchell County line, meaning no traffic can travel south from Mitchell County into McDowell County on NC 226.
