Advisory
The South River Water Department's 2024 fall hydrant flushing program runs from October 15th until October 31st.
During hydrant flushing, there may be a decrease in water pressure as well as a discoloration in the water. This is not harmful and will not affect the safety of the water for drinking and sanitation purposes. If discoloration occurs, run your cold water for several minutes and flush your toilets once or twice to clear your lines. All residents are urged not to do laundry while hydrant flushing is taking place in their neighborhood.
