Structure Fire Update - 1600 Block of Novato Blvd.
Novato, CA – October 30, 2024 – At approximately 1:30 a.m. today, Novato Fire District and Novato Police Department personnel responded to a report of a structure fire in the area of Novato Boulevard and Cypress Avenue. Upon arrival, first responders found the front section of a residential structure fully involved, with residents on scene.
Novato Police officers assisted in evacuating all occupants safely, and there were no injuries reported. The fire was contained to the structure, with no other buildings affected.
Classified as a 2nd alarm, the fire required a coordinated response and additional resources. Displaced residents have been referred to the American Red Cross, and gift cards from the California Fire Foundation have been provided for immediate assistance. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by Novato Fire and the Marin County Fire Investigation Team.
