The City of Palo Alto Utilities has a new power outage management system to inform utility customers about electric service disruptions. As a result, effective December 13, 2024, Palo Alto Police will no longer use Nixle alerts to share information about power outages.
To ensure you receive timely and accurate outage notifications and updates directly from City of Palo Alto Utilities via text and/or email, please log in to mycpau.cityofpaloalto.org or call Utilities Customer Service at (650) 329-2161 to verify the accuracy of your contact information. The Palo Alto Police Department will continue to use Nixle for the release of public safety information.
