With the holiday season upon us, the South River Police Department is reminding residents and business owners of the following:
All Borough of South River employees approaching a property or residence, including meter readers, wear clearly marked clothing and display clearly marked identification. The employee will provide the identification for review upon request.
If you observe anything suspicious or something does not seem right, please contact our department immediately at 732-238-1000. Take note of the the individual's physical description, clothing description, and any vehicle description and be prepared to provide it to the dispatcher when calling.
