Special Weather Statement until 04:15AM Thursday
Areas of freezing drizzle and fog will develop mainly after midnight from south to north across southern Wisconsin, as relatively mild and moist air arrives from the south. A few hours or so of freezing drizzle is expected before air and road temperatures warm above freezing. Locations north of Madison and Watertown, and toward central Wisconsin will have the greatest potential for a glaze of ice to occur during the early morning hours. Widespread fog will follow the drizzle with areas of dense fog possible, which may continue into early Thursday afternoon. Motorists should slow down and use caution while traveling later tonight. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning commute especially north of Madison and Watertown, and toward central Wisconsin.
