BHFD is monitoring Sunset Fire in Hollywood Hills. No mandatory evacuation for BH at this time.
The Beverly Hills Fire Department is closely monitoring the newly formed Sunset Fire in the Runyon Canyon area of the Hollywood Hills.
Extensive fire resources are being deployed to stop the spread of the fire. At this time, there are no mandatory evacuations ordered in Beverly Hills. The City of LA has declared portions of Beverly Hills as a voluntary evacuation zone which includes areas north of Sunset and east of Coldwater Canyon Dr.
We will continue to monitor the situation and advise of any changes. This is a reminder to have your emergency kit ready to go and monitor the latest and changing information in the event a mandatory evacuation is necessary.
As always, please dial 911 to report an emergency.
