From 04:17am EST, Jan 10 2025 until 10:00am EST, Jan 11 2025* WHAT...Heavy snow expected, mixed with sleet at times tonight. Total snow and sleet accumulations between 2 and 4 inches. A light glaze of freezing rain or freezing drizzle will also be possible before precipitation tapers off Saturday morning.
* WHERE...The northern Piedmont of central North Carolina.
* WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 10 AM EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
