We would like to congratulate four of our deputies who recently received professional certificates from the North Carolina Department of Justice Sheriffs’ Standards Division.
 
Lieutenant W.W. White received his Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate, for “…dedicated service and demonstrated ability to perform those tasks required of a justice officer and of personal devotion and service to the people of North Carolina…”. Lt.  White has been with our office since 2004, and is currently assigned to the Special Investigations Division.
 
Detective L.H. Smith received his Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate, for “…dedicated service and demonstrated ability to perform those tasks required of a justice officer and of personal devotion and service to the people of North Carolina…”. Det. Smith has been with our office since 2003, and is currently assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division.
 
Detective S.B. Pegram received his Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate, for “…dedicated service and demonstrated ability to perform those tasks required of a justice officer and of personal devotion and service to the people of North Carolina…”. Det. Pegram has been with our office since 2009, and is currently assigned to the Special Investigations Division.
 
Sergeant B.R. Brown received her Intermediate Law Enforcement Certificate, “…in recognition of meritorious progress in pursuing the training and educational objectives commensurate with the role of a professional Deputy sheriff and of the dedicated service to the people of North Carolina…”. Sgt Brown has been with our office since 2020, and is currently assigned to the Patrol Division.
