While You Were Sleeping

Early this morning (1/28), around 12:31AM, Novato Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle as the license plate was not displayed properly. The male driver initially stopped near Dollar Tree in South Novato. Once stopped, the male driver ran from the vehicle on foot, while the female passenger entered the driver seat and started to drive away. The man jumped on to the hood on the vehicle and the woman drove off with him on the hood. With the assistance of Marin County Sheriff Deputies, the vehicle was found unoccupied on Poppy Place and impounded. Inside the vehicle officers found 3.5 pounds of cannabis, over $1,000 cash, and an imitation firearm.

Officers searched for both suspects and the women was located near Inn Marin. Following a brief foot pursuit, a Novato Police Officer was able to arrest the female suspect on Ignacio Lane. She was identified as Allyssa Hann, a 26-year-old Clearlake resident. The male suspect was identified as Earl Vogt, a 43-year-old Lucerne resident.

Hann was booked into Marin County Jail for reckless evading, resisting arrest, and violating her probation terms. Vogt was not immediately located and holds an active no-bail warrant for his arrest out of Lake County. He will be charged for resisting arrest with the Marin County District Attorney’s Office. Vogt was last seen fleeing near Poppy Place and is described as a 43-year-old white male with blonde hair and blue eyes. He stands 6’3” and weighs approximately 260 pounds. He was wearing a green hoodie and gray sweatpants.
