Shared Notice from Stokes County Government Center

Stokes County along with Davie Construction are diligently working on the Courthouse Expansion and Renovation Project. At this point in the project, new water lines must be added for the new addition. To tie in the new lines to the existing water system, the water will have to be cut off during this time. Due to having no water, the Stokes County Government Center Campus will be closed on Wednesday, February 12th and will be on a delayed 10:00 AM opening on Thursday, February 13th. Buildings affected include the DSS Building, Stokes County Courthouse, and Reagan Administration Building.
The below offices will be affected and will be closed during the above-mentioned times:
-Stokes County Clerk of Court
-District Attorney's Office
-Juvenile Probation
-Domestic Violence
-Sheriff's Office (Administrative Services)
-Department of Social Services
-Register of Deeds
-Tax Department (Including Collections)
-Finance Department
-Economic Development/Tourism
-Information Technology
-County Manager's Office
-Human Resources
-Veterans Services
-Public Buildings
-Planning and Inspections
-Environmental Health
