SNOW EMERGENCY
The City has declared a Snow Emergency for the City of Huntington Woods starting at midnight on February 12th and continuing until February 13th. The Snow Emergency will continue until all roads have been plowed and cleared. Until the Snow Emergency has been lifted, all vehicles MUST be removed from the curbside and parked OFF the street, allowing roads to be plowed and emergency vehicles to pass.
______________________________________________________
With snowfalls of 4” or more, the DPW attempts to plow every street, and all cars must be off the streets to allow for plows. It’s an unavoidable side effect of plowing that driveways will have snow pushed onto the approaches.
For sidewalks, the DPW brooms snow when possible. Roads must take priority, and overtime cannot be used for sidewalk brooming. Residents are responsible for clearing and salting sidewalks adjacent to their properties when necessary.
