* Until 630 AM CDT.

* At 125 AM CDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mount Vernon, Du Quoin, Pinckneyville, Fairfield, Rend Lake Area, Wayne City, Woodlawn, Bluford, Cisne, Tamaroa, Willisville, Ina, Dix, Cutler, Waltonville, Bonnie, Jeffersonville, Belle Rive, Sims and Nason.
