This message is being sent on behalf of the City of Palo Alto Utilities Department.
Starting this week, the City of Palo Alto Utilities (CPAU) will be working along Embarcadero Road between Alma Street and Emerson Street to replace gas utility mains and pipelines. Construction work will occur 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
This is part of CPAU's gas capital improvement project for utility safety and reliability. Traffic controls are in place for pedestrian, bicyclist, and vehicular safety. However, note that traffic along this corridor will likely be more congested due to the construction. This work is expected to be complete within six weeks and will conclude the Gas Main Replacement Project #24B.
