UPDATE TO WATER SHUT DOWN & BOIL WATER NOTICE AS OF 4/8/2025:
The City of Amsterdam announces that due to a water shutdown yesterday, Monday, April 7, 2025, THE RESIDENTS ON THE FOLLOWING STREETS WILL NEED TO BOIL THEIR WATER UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE:
o The Mall from Northampton Road to George Street;
o Laura Street;
o Machold Avenue;
o Lily Street;
o Phillips Street;
o Stewart Street from Elmwood Avenue to Henrietta Street;
o Henrietta Street from Guy Park Avenue to the top of the hill;
o Evelyn Avenue;
o McFarlan Avenue;
o Caroline Street from Stewart Street to Phillips Street;
o George Street from Phillips Street to Dartmouth Street
BRING YOUR WATER TO A ROLLING BOIL AND BOIL FOR 1 MINUTE.

REMINDER
Please be advised the City of Amsterdam/Pareene Contracting will be working on the water mains on Henrietta Street tonight, Monday April 7, 2025 and there will be a water shutdown beginning around 8:00 PM. Below is a map of the potentially affected areas.
Please note, not everyone on the map within the shaded area will lose water but may see pressure fluctuations during the course of the work. A boil water advisory will be in effect once the water is restored for those residents who lose all water and will remain in effect until further notice.
