Canal Road Bridge Closure and Detour in Franklin Township

Bridge F0203, located on Canal Road in Franklin Township between Copper Mine Road and Old Georgetown Road, was damaged on April 8 and is closed.  An assessment of bridge damage is ongoing.  Canal Road will be closed while the bridge repairs are being completed.  Only local traffic will be allowed on Canal Road between Route 518 and the Griggstown Causeway.

A southbound detour route has been established using Canal Road to Bunker Hill Road (County Route 632) to State Route 27 to Georgetown-Franklin Turnpike (Route 518).  For northbound traffic, the same detour is in effect using Georgetown-Franklin Turnpike (Route 518) to State Route 27 to Bunker Hill Road (County Route 632) to Canal Road.
