Paving in Progress – Expected to End Today at 5:00 PM
GMI Asphalt LLC, the contractor for the Department of Public Works (DPW), is currently performing paving on Somerville Street, between Belmont Street and Fremont Street, today, Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
During this time, this section of Somerville Street will have limited access, and parking is prohibited during construction hours. Travelers are advised to use Hayward Street as an alternate route. Please follow all posted detour signs and allow extra time for travel due to possible delays.
We encourage residents and visitors to plan activities accordingly and avoid the construction zone when possible. While we are working to minimize disruptions, there may be temporary delays and limited property access in the area.
