Add Strength to Your Summer Glow-Up: Girls Only Self-Defense Returns to Fairfield PAL 
This summer, confidence is the best accessory. The Fairfield PAL Teen Center is proud to bring back its popular Girls Only Self-Defense Workshop Series, designed to help teen girls feel strong, capable, and in control.
Beginning Wednesday, June 11 through August 7, the weekly sessions will run from 4:00–5:30 p.m. at the PAL Teen Center.
Each workshop features a hands-on approach to real-world self-defense, taught through a blend of martial arts techniques and personal empowerment strategies.
No prior experience is necessary, just come ready to move and bring a water bottle!
The sessions are open to girls ages 13–18 with a current PAL membership. Space is limited and advanced registration is required.
“These workshops are about more than physical defense—they’re about building confidence and learning to trust your instincts,” said Coach Anthony, who leads the program. “Our goal is to create a space where girls can support each other while learning skills they’ll carry with them for life.”

Fairfield PAL is open to teens from Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis, ages 13-18. Memberships are available at the Fairfield Community Center (1000 Kentucky Street, Fairfield) with a valid school ID and a parent or guardian’s signature. Membership is free.

The Fairfield PAL Teen Center provides free recreational programming to engage underserved teens, helping them develop leadership skills, build relationships, and grow great qualities. Located in the heart of Fairfield, the center is a safe and welcoming space for teens to thrive. The Fairfield PAL Program is open to Fairfield, Suisun, and Travis Students ages 13-18 who are enrolled in school. Membership is FREE and can be applied for at the Fairfield Community Center (1000 Kentucky Street) with a current ID and parent / guardian signature.
