There is patchy dense fog across areas west of Madison early this morning, mainly from the Wisconsin Dells area south to Lone Rock, Dodgeville and Darlington. Visibility down to one quarter mile may occur in low lying areas for the next hour or two. The fog should dissipate by middle morning. Slow down if driving in the patchy dense fog, and use low beam headlights.
