At 534 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Orfordville, or 7 miles east of Brodhead, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Janesville, Beloit, South Beloit, Brodhead, Orfordville, Footville, Newark, Hanover, Shopiere, and Afton. This includes the following highways... Interstate 39/90 between mile markers 180 and 186. Interstate 43 between mile markers 0 and 4.
