On July 5, 2025, at approximately 1:31 AM, the Stokes County Sheriff's Office responded to 1038 Delta Church Rd in Sandy Ridge to a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, deputies located one juvenile victim with apparent lacerations and stab wounds. The victim was transported to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist by Air care, but succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. As a result of the investigation, Jeffrey Logan Lambert, 23 years old, of Madison NC, was arrested on scene, and charged with murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, 2 counts of damage to personal property, and resisting a public officer. Lambert is currently being held in the Stokes County Jail without bond. Lambert will next appear in court on 9-15-25. This is an ongoing investigation, and no other information will be released at this time. If anyone has additional information, please contact the Stokes County Sheriff’s office.
