7/17 Planned Public Assemblies  
Today (7/17), multiple planned public assemblies are expected at the DeLong and Rowland overpasses, as well as downtown at the City Green. Expect traffic congestion from 4PM - 8PM as there will be an increase in pedestrians. Remember to drive safe and slow and keep an eye out for pedestrians near the roadways. Us alternative routes, when necessary. Only call 9-1-1 in an emergency.
 
7/18: First Friday Events
On Friday (7/18), Grant Ave will be closed for First Fridays from 4PM - 12AM. The closure will affect Grant Ave between Machin Ave and Reichert Ave. The roadway will be closed to all vehicular traffic. Gates will close on Grant Ave at 5PM. Permanent signage has been installed in the area to notify the community of closure information. Additional Event Date: Friday 8/1
 
TRAFFIC: NPD will be working these events to reasonably accommodate any traffic related issues. We remind our community members of the potential impacts on traffic during commute times in the immediate area. Expect traffic delays and use alternative routes when necessary. An increase in pedestrian traffic is expected during the closure times.
 
REMEMBER to drive safe as families with small children may be crossing roadways for both events. Do not park in driveways, restricted parking areas, or in red zones. As always, be mindful of alcohol consumption at these events and ensure a safe/sober ride home. The community’s patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.
