Revised:  GMI Asphalt LLC, the contractor for the Department of Public Works (DPW), will be  paving on Canal Street / West Auburn Street, between Elm Street and Granite Street, on Friday , July 25, 2025, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. 

During the construction period, the road will be closed to through traffic, and parking will be prohibited during construction hours.

 Businesses will still have access to key locations including Market Basket, NBT Bank, and 75 Canal Street residents.

Travelers are encouraged to use Granite Street as an alternate route. Please follow posted detour signs and allow extra time for potential delays.

Please plan your activities accordingly and avoid the construction zone if possible. While we aim to minimize disruptions, be prepared for possible delays and limited access to properties in the area.
