Weather & Travel Alert
A State of Emergency has been declared for New Jersey due to impending severe weather, inlcuding the possibility of severe thunderstorms, damaging winds, and flash flooding.
Although a travel ban is not in effect, driving is discouraged until the threat of severe weather has passed. If you must drive, allow yourself additional travel time and use caution. Do not drive around barricades or through flooded roadways as the water may be deeper than you think.
To report an emergency or life threatening situation (not a power outage), dial 9-1-1. Non-emergency calls should be directed to the South River Police Department's non-emergency number at 732-238-1000.
