Advisory: Road Closure - Upcoming Road Paving on Beech Street, McQuesten Street, Rand Street – Begins 8/25/25 thru 8/29/25

This is to inform you that Northeast Roads and Advanced Paving (subcontractors to Albanese D&S, the contractor for the Environmental Protection Division of the Department of Public Works), will begin full-width prep work and road reconstruction on Beech St. (Sommerville St. to Clay St.), McQuesten St. (2^nd St. to Wentworth St.), and Rand St. (Hanover St. to Crystal St.).  Work is scheduled to start on Monday, 8/25/25 with full-width reclaim and paving from Monday, 8/25/25 thru Friday, 8/29/25.  Work is anticipated to start on Beech St., then continue to McQuesten St. and Rand St.  Construction hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This project will require road closures and detours on the above streets to limits shown. Notices will be delivered to all residences and businesses prior to start of work. 

During construction hours:

• Beech Street will be closed to through traffic with detour to Union St.  McQuesten St. and Rand St. will be open to local traffic only.
• Parking will be prohibited within the construction area
• Residents will have limited access to and from their homes
• Traffic delays are likely

We encourage all residents to plan-ahead, follow posted detour signs, and allow extra time for travel. Whenever possible, please avoid the construction area.
