The Kensington Police Department would like to inform residents of a temporary road closure due to ongoing work as part of the 2025 Kensington Surface Treatment Project.

• Impacted Location: Kenyon Ave
• Closure Date: 08/25/2025 to 08/26/2025
• Work Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Construction and road closures will not begin until 9:15AM to allow for drop-off without traffic impacts. During the school day, Kenyon will be closed from Highland to Columbia but reopen from Highland to Westminster in time for afternoon pickups.

This essential work is being performed to seal and strengthen Kensington’s roadways, especially ahead of the wet season when water infiltration can compromise the structural integrity of our roads and surrounding land.

• Please plan alternate routes during this time. Traffic mitigation measures are being evaluated to reduce delays and improve flow for all motorists.
•  We ask for your patience and cooperation with road crews working diligently to improve our community’s infrastructure.
