Public’s help sought locating missing and endangered Beaufort man last seen on Hilton Head Island 
Mr. Rathert was reported missing by family today, September 3, 2025, after last being seen around 10:15 a.m. leaving his family’s home on Woodhaven Drive on Hilton Head Island.
There is concern for his safety and wellbeing.
Mr. Rathert is described as 6’ tall, weighing about 255 pounds, and was last seen wearing blue swimsuit trunks, a beige shirt and blue colored shoes.
Anyone who has information as to Mr. Rathert’s whereabouts is asked to call the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency dispatch line at 843-524-2777.
