Full Notification

Today at 3:34 PM, the Fairfield Police Department responded to a report of an after-school fight and shooting in the parking lot of Fairfield High School.  

Three officers arrived at the scene within 60 seconds of the incident being reported to Dispatch. They were quickly followed by additional officers who secured the campus.  

The preliminary investigation determined that at least one gunshot was fired at an occupied vehicle related to the fight.  

At this time, it is not believed that anyone was hit by the gunfire.  

Officers remain on scene gathering information.  

This is an active investigation, and additional information will be forthcoming. There is no active threat to students on campus or after school activities.
