Several events will take place in town on Saturday that may lead to brief road closures and traffic delays.

*The Jersey Shore Walk to Prevent Suicide will take place beginning at 8:00am in front of Bar Anticipation. This walk will travel East on 16th Ave to the boardwalk and then continue on the boardwalk.

*The Lake Como Day 5k will begin at 9:00am on 18th Ave in the area of Joe's Surf Shack. This race will head towards North Blvd and around Lake Como. Expect road closures in the south end of Belmar and Lake Como

*The Belmar Police Department will be hosting their Annual Fishing Derby on Saturday beginning at 11:00am at the Lake Como. Children 15 years of age and younger are welcome to attend. Look for the Belmar Police tent on North Blvd near Fernwood Rd to check in. Don't forget your fishing pole.

*Lake Como Day Festival will take place beginning at 3:00pm on North Blvd in Lake Como. The event will conclude with fireworks at 8:30pm. North Blvd in Lake Como will be closed to vehicle traffic throughout the event.
