Police Investigating Fatal Solo Motorcycle Crash 
Last night, October 3, at around 6:45 pm, Fairfield Police Dispatch received calls reporting a solo motorcycle collision in the area of Noonan and Cement Hill Road.
When police and fire personnel arrived, the rider had sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Sadly, the rider, a 52-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries. His identity is not being released, pending notification of next of kin.
The road was closed for several hours, reopening at approximately 11 pm. The cause remains under investigation.
