The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deadly early Sunday morning shooting that occurred at Willie’s Bar and Grill, 7 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive on St. Helena.

Shortly before 1 a.m. on October 12, 2025, the Sheriff’s Office responded to the location after receiving multiple reports of a shooting.  Upon arrival at Willie’s Bar and Grill, deputies found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds and other injuries.

The Beaufort County Coroner’s Office has released the names of the 4 deceased individuals. A’shan’tek Milledge (22) of Burton, Amos Gary (54) of St. Helena, Chiraad Smalls (33) of Beaufort, and Kashawn Glaze (22) of Beaufort, were all pronounced deceased at the scene.

This is an ongoing investigation and the Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate persons of interest. We have appreciated the many members of the community who have been coming forward with information. We also appreciate your continued patience as we investigate this difficult tragedy that occurred in our community.
