HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – October 19, 2025 - The Hollister Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 1100 block of Sunnyslope Road.
On Saturday, October 18, 2025, at approximately 7:22 p.m., Hollister Police officers were dispatched to reports of a shooting involving two vehicles in the 1100 block of Sunnyslope Road.
As responding officers arrived on scene to begin the investigation, additional information was received indicating that a victim associated with the incident had arrived at a local hospital. The San Benito County Sheriff’s Department assisted in responding to the hospital, locating the victim, and gathering further information as to what had occurred.
The victim was life-flighted to a neighboring trauma hospital, but despite emergency medical care, the victim later died from their injuries. The case is now being investigated as a homicide.
We are appreciative of the San Benito County Sheriff’s Department's resources and assistance they have provided during this investigation.
