USGS confirms a second earthquake (2.2) occurred overnight in McDowell.

The USGS has confirmed a second earthquake (M 2.2) occurred overnight in McDowell County approximately 2.2 miles NNW of Marion.  The earthquake occurred at 1:20 a.m.   The earthquake that occurred shortly before daylight today has been upgraded to a 2.1.  The original measurement from USGS was 1.5 magnitude.

No damage has been reported as of 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
