Road Work Notice: November 17 - November 21 - 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. daily

Road Closures: 

  • Union St. (Shasta St. to Clay St. )
  • Webster Street (Pickering St to Smyth Road.) – intermittent closures
  • Smyth Road (Webster Street to Dave Street.) – intermittent closures
  • Kennard Road (Smyth Road to Lindahl Street.) – intermittent closures
  • Penacook St. (Elm St. to Chestnut St.)  
Partial Lane Closures or Lane Shifts – Traffic to be maintained through the work zones unless noted below
  • Brown Ave. (Queen City Ave. to W. Baker St.), northbound traffic to be detoured, southbound to remain open.
  • Massabesic St. (Valley St. to Jewett St.) eastbound lane closure - expect alternating one lane traffic
  • Elm St.  (Calef Road to Brown Avenue) – lanes shifted
  • Cohas Ave. (Greenwood Court to Island Pond Road) – lanes shifted
  • Lake Ave. and Cypress St. Intersection
Temporary Lane Impacts – Traffic to be maintained through the work zones 
  • South Willow St., Cilley Ave., Queen City Ave Intersection
Night Work - 6:00 pm – 6am
  • 11/17 – Lowell St. (Chestnut St. to  Kosciuszko St.) – Traffic to be detoured as needed, local traffic only
  • 11/18 & 11/19 – Porter St. (Massabesic St. to Hayward St.) – Traffic to be detoured, local traffic only
 
What to Expect and Important Notes
 
  • Expect road closures and detours during construction hours.
  • Please follow posted detour signs and allow extra travel time.
  • Parking will be prohibited within the construction area.
  • Drivers and pedestrians should use extreme caution when traveling past work zones, especially at night or in adverse weather when visibility is limited.
  • Driveway access to local businesses and homes within closures will be maintained and closely coordinated by the Contractor.
  • For lane shifts or temporary lane impacts during construction, follow new lane markings, barricaded routes, or traffic cones and allow extra travel time.
  • Whenever possible, we encourage drivers to plan ahead and avoid the construction area.
