On Thursday, December 4, 2025, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office arrested Albert Alexis Fajardo-Aguilar, 37, for the charges of Fugitive from Justice.
The Sheriff’s Office was provided with information that Aguilar was wanted in Costa Rica for Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor (13 or under).
During an investigation It was confirmed that Aguilar was living in the Bluffton area. He was observed driving away from his residence, when a traffic stop was conducted on his vehicle. Aguilar was found to be Driving without a license and was arrested and transported to the Beaufort County Detention Center.
An Interpol Red Notice was confirmed by ICE / Homeland Security Investigation, and a hold was placed on Aguilar for extradition.
