Winter Storm Warning in effect for this evening through Sunday.
Cold Weather Advisory also in effect.
Cold is already moving in.
High temps only on 20s/teens for the next several days with windchills 0 to -15.
Snow will move in Saturday morning early and come in two bursts continuing through Sunday.
Snow totals for our area currently show in the 8"-12" range.
The location of the sleet line can change these totals but as of right now we are out of the sleet area.
There will be major impacts to travel!
Next official update will come after a conference call today at 11am from NWS-Paducah.
Our advise is simple...
-When the Snow starts, do not venture out unless it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.
-Dress for extreme and Dangerous Cold!
-Prepare for any utility interuptions that may occur.
-Know how to properly and safely operate space heaters or alternate heating sources.
-Keep in mind that emergency services will be operating but will be severely hampered in any responces that may occur.
