Winter Storm Alert- Franklin Twp
The National Weather Service is forecasting a winter storm this weekend that will impact Franklin Twp with significant snowfall and the potential for ice accumulation.
 
For the Safety of our community, residents are reminded to remove vehicles before the storm from any municipal or county roadway. Vehicles left on the roadway are subject to ticketing and towing, as they prevent DPW from safely and effectively plowing roadways.
 
Community members are urged to prepare now:

• Avoid unnecessary travel
• Charge all cell phones and essential devices
• Keep vehicles fueled and stocked with emergency supplies
• Use space heaters safely; never operate generators or grills indoors
• Clear snow from home vents to prevent carbon monoxide buildup
• Clear sidewalks as required by ordinance following the storm
