Advisory

Winter Storm information Sun 01/25 - Mon 01/26.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for our area. Snow is expected to begin falling in the early morning hours of Sunday 01/25 and continue through Monday evening 01/26. Total Snow accumulation predictions currently vary from 6-10 inches up to 12-13 inches. Snowfall rates could be between 1-2 inches per hour with winds of approximately 10-15 MPH. Cold temperatures and steady wind bring the "real feel" values down between 0F to -5F during the course of the storm.

Currently our Emergency Services, Department of Public Works and their support staff have ensured their equipment and personnel are prepared for this weather event.

We would also like to take this time to remind you to ensure Fire Hydrants and the areas around them are clear of snow and ice, ensuring they are readily accessible for use in the event of an emergency. It should also be noted, motor vehicles should be clear of all snow and ice prior to traveling on any roadway to ensure the safety of the occupants and other motorists.
Additionally, parking of motor vehicles is not permitted on any roadways within the Township during snow and ice storms to ensure the DPW can properly clear the roadways.
