A Message from Mayor Peter Guindi
Dear Residents,
As you know, a major winter storm is approaching our area, bringing: heavy snowfall, ice accumulation, high winds, and dangerously low temperatures.
Ahead of the storm, I’ve met with borough public safety officials, emergency management staff, and DPW personnel to ensure South River is prepared and essential services remain uninterrupted.
Before going to bed this evening, vehicles must be removed from Snow Emergency Streets. If you park on other streets, please remove your vehicles from the roadway, if possible, to allow for more efficient plowing.
During the storm, travel is strongly discouraged. Remember to check in on elderly neighbors and family.
Please be patient as plow crews work to get to all streets in South River and be aware that plows may make multiple passes on your street.
I encourage you to monitor NIXLE text and email alerts, South River Borough’s social media pages, and South River Police Department’s social media pages for additional information and updates.
Stay safe and stay warm,
Peter S. Guindi
Mayor, Borough of South River
