A winter storm is expected to begin early Sunday morning and continue through early Monday, bringing significant snow followed by sleet and freezing rain Sunday afternoon. Icy conditions, hazardous roads, downed trees, power lines, and possible power outages are expected. Very cold temperatures will follow throughout next week. Please prepare now.

Parking & Snow Removal

• Residents are asked to move vehicles off roadways to allow DPW to plow efficiently.

• If you do not have a driveway, parking is available at:

  • Belmar: Dempsey Park, Maclearie Park, Belmar Marina, Belmar Municipal Lot

  • Lake Como: Behrman Park

• Clear obstructions near roadways to allow safe passage for plows and emergency vehicles.

Travel

• Hazardous conditions are expected. Travel should be limited to essential needs only.

After the Storm

• Shovel sidewalks promptly.

• Do not push snow back into the roadway.

• Clear snow from fire hydrants near your property.

Power Outages

• Report outages to Jersey Central Power & Light at 1-888-544-4877 or online.

• Do not call 9-1-1 to report power outages.
