The South River Police Department is aware of complaints regarding the parking of parents’ vehicles in the area of the South River Public Schools during drop-off and pick-up times. Although officers always take a proactive approach to traffic and parking enforcement in the area, officers will be making a more concerted effort to address the following:
- Utilization of handicap parking spots in the Primary School and Early Learning Center to drop off children (without the proper handicap placard or license plate displayed)
- Blocking residential driveways in the area surrounding the schools to pick up children
We are asking for the cooperation of parents and residents alike to be cognizant of these violations and not force the officers to have to take greater enforcement action.
