WINTER STORM UPGRADED: Blizzard warning
WHEN: Sunday at 12pm New Jersey has issued a state of emergency due to the pending blizzard.
WHAT: Accumulations upgraded to 8-14 inches with approx 2inches per hour during some points.
UPDATE: National weather service has upgraded the storm to a blizzard. Snowfall rates of 2” or greater are likely and wind Wind gusting up to 55 mph.
Blizzard conditions will leads to very difficult and hazardous travel conditions. Drivers are encouraged to avoid any unnecessary travel. The blizzard is expected to affect Somerset, Susex, Warren, Morris, Hunterdon, Middlesex and Mercer counties.
Franklin Twp residents are reminded that there is no parking on any municipal roadways during a snow storm!
