Franklin Twp. has declared a State of Emergency. This declaration gives the Police Department the authorization to carry out the following:
- Enforce no parking on all municipally owned streets or highways in accordance with Franklin Township Municipal Ordinance 226-9. Any unoccupied vehicle parked or standing in violation of this section shall be deemed a nuisance and menace to the safe and proper regulations of traffic and any Police Officer may provide or the removal of such vehicles
- The Office of Emergency Management, Police Department, Department of Public Works, and other emergency responders are authorized to utilize off-road vehicles, and four-wheel drive vehicles as needed to carry out emergency responsive tasks as needed.
- To close roads and establish detours to effectuate the safe flow of vehicular traffic.
Please remain off the roadways and remove your vehicles from all roadways during this storm.
