STORM UPDATE & TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS
Heavy snow is accumulating on roadways. Snow ordinances are now in effect. All vehicles should have been removed from the roadway or parked on the appropriate side of the street in accordance with local snow ordinances.
The Police Department is actively enforcing violations. Vehicles in violation will be ticketed. No Parking is permitted on Main Street for the duration of the storm.
The New Jersey Office of Emergency Management under the New Jersey State Police has issued a MANDATORY TRAVEL RESTRICTION from 9:00 PM Sunday, February 22, 2026
through 7:00 AM Monday, February 23, 2026.
All non-exempt vehicles are prohibited from operating on state, county, municipal, and interstate roadways during this period.

Power Outages:
Report all outages directly to Jersey Central Power & Light.
Do NOT call 9-1-1 to report power outages.
Closures:
Belmar and Lake Como Borough Hall will be closed Monday.
Monday trash pickup is cancelled.
Recycling centers will be closed Monday.
