Snow continues across Cherry Hill this morning, with additional accumulation expected through the day. Forecasts indicate continued snowfall with gusty winds and periods of reduced visibility. Road conditions remain hazardous, particularly on secondary streets and untreated surfaces.
Cherry Hill Police, the Department of Public Works, and the Cherry Hill Office of Emergency Management are actively working throughout the township. Crews remain focused on maintaining access for emergency vehicles and critical services.
Residents are urged to limit travel to essential purposes only. Even as snowfall begins to taper, roads remain snow-covered and slippery. Please allow plow crews the space they need to operate safely and efficiently.
As residents begin clearing driveways and sidewalks, please keep safety in mind:
• Pace yourself and take frequent breaks
• Push snow when possible instead of lifting
• Avoid overexertion, especially if you have heart or respiratory conditions
• Stay hydrated and dress in layers
• Stop immediately if you feel chest discomfort, shortness of breath, dizziness, or unusual fatigue
Shoveling heavy, wet snow can place significant strain on the body. Seek assistance early if you need help. Check on elderly neighbors and those who may need support with snow removal or supplies.
