The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office has served additional charges in connection with the October 2025 shooting at Willie’s Bar and Grill.
On Monday, March 16, 2026, investigators served Anferny Devon Freeman, 27, of St. Helena Island, with 14 additional arrest warrants for Assault and Battery in the First Degree.
Freeman was charged in connection with the tragic shooting that occurred on October 12, 2025. On Friday, November 14, 2025, Sheriff PJ Tanner announced Freeman’s arrest related to the incident.
At that time, Freeman, who was already being held at the Beaufort County Detention Center on unrelated charges, was served warrants for four counts of murder, aggravated breach of peace, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
The shooting resulted in four fatalities and 15 individuals injured.
