We have received notification that scammers are again attempting to get money from people by using one of our deputies names and position with the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office. If you are contacted by phone, email or text do not respond directly to this contact using the information provided in the message or open any attached links. Before taking any action call and confirm with the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office that the contact from a Deputy and not a scammer trying to take your money by false information. To confirm with the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office call 336-593-8787 before sending any money or gift cards information.
