Wildfire reported near the top of Old Fort Mountain:
Fire crews are currently on the scene of a wildfire in the Pisgah National Forest near the top of Old Fort Mountain. The fire is in a remote area near the Kitsuma Trailhead off Royal Gorge Road, north of I-40.
There are no evacuation orders at this time.
Agencies on scene include Old Fort Fire Department, Crooked Creek Fire Department, Black Mountain Fire Department, and Swannanoa Fire Department. Crews are actively working to contain the fire.
