Flood Watch in effect for Southeast Michigan area still in effect.
National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch forSoutheast Michigan area which is still in effect through late Thursday night (April 16th, 2026).
WHAT......Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible
WHERE....A portion of southeast Michigan, including the following areas, Bay, Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Midland, Monroe, Oakland, Saginaw, Sanilac, Shiawassee, St Clair, Tuscola, Washtenaw, and Wayne.
WHEN.....Through late Thursday night.
IMPACTS....Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossing may be flooded.
ADDITIONAL....In the last 7 days, most of Southeast Michigan has seen 1.5 to 3.5 inches of rainfall which has saturated soils before the main spring green up. Several additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are likely tonight and Thursday. Expect an additional 1 to 2 inches of rainfall, with localized new rainfall totals of 4 to 5 inches possible by Thrusday evening, dependent on thunderstorm coverage and track
