Flood Warning until 05:00PM Tuesday

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Wisconsin... Pecatonica River At Martintown affecting Green County.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Pecatonica River at Martintown.

* WHEN...Until Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 13.5 feet, Floodwaters affect Martintown Road and West River Road in the Martintown area. Upstream in Browntown, floodwaters affect highway MM and West Indies Road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 13.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 9.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 14.0 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 13.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.0 feet on 09/06/2018. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

* AFFECTED AREAS: GREEN, WI

Instructions:

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim, or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters, stop, turn around and go another way. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
